“ It was really good! I got the Sicilian Beef which I thought could have had a little more flavor, but it was good, tender, and juicy. My husband got the Breaded Steak sandwich which I also tried. Very good, very messy lol. The pizza though was not the best. It was rubbery and I think they reheated it & I'm not sure how long it had been sitting out. We had gone a little early though so that may have been the issue ”
“ Grandfather has been coming to this restaurant since the 1970s. He loves their steak sandwich. We liked the steak sandwich too, although we personally wished it had a bit more flavor. However, we still highly recommend trying it. We especially enjoyed the version with sauce on the side and cheese. There is a fee for both a side of red gravy sauce and to add cheese. Approximately a couple of dollars for cheese to be added. The regular-sized sandwich was perfect for one person, but if you're sharing, we suggest ordering the king size. A large crowd arrived shortly after we did (around noon), so we recommend coming between 11:00 and 11:30 AM on a weekday to beat the rush. Our food took about 15 minutes to arrive. ”
“ This is such a good South Side restaurant. The food is fabulous- from pizza slices to a breaded steak sandwich. My wife LOVES the eggplant parm sandwich. They get food out pretty quickly, even when they are really busy. We were there on a Friday night at 9 pm and the place was packed- which should tell you a lot! ”
“ Came for the iconic breaded steak sandwich and it didn't disappoint. The sandwich came out quickly and was loaded and there's even a bigger size. Although the steak was smothered in sauce, I could still taste some crunch from it, and the hot giardiniera was also prominent. ”
“ It's been years maybe even decades since I visited this historic place. My lady had never been here so I wanted to turn her on to the breaded steak. It was just as I remembered and better because it was in front of me. We also had an eggplant sandwich which was delicious. The menu is abundant with all kinds of things to try and I'll have to come back a lot sooner to get in on other flavors like a chicken parmesan sandwich with bacon. On a side note, I forgot my sling bag and went somewhere else. Then when I went home looking for my keys I realized I left it behind. I called and sure enough if they had it. So on top of having a great meal they looked out for my belongings in a super crowded atmosphere with long lines of people waiting to get their orders in. ”
